    You will provide high quality speech pathology service to families accessing assessment and therapy for paediatric communication and swallowing disorders. The position sits within the child and family allied health team, Tamworth Community Health Service and will join a team including Senior Speech Pathologists. You will work alongside other services within the child and family allied health team including but not exclusive to Aboriginal Health Workers, Dietitians, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapist and social workers. The role includes delivery of assessment and intervention within a community setting, as well as in reach Tamworth Rural Referral Hospitals Children’s ward, maternity and special care nursery. Outreach is provided to Manilla and Barraba for Paediatrics, as well as proviso of adult inpatient swallowing assessments at these outreach sites. Provision of service in community is flexible and can involve offsite clinics, preschool visits and homevisting. You will work in a small speech team with two senior speech pathologists; and in partnership with professionals inclusive but not exclusive to Dietitians, Occupational therapists, physiotherapists,  psychologists, Paediatricians, midwifes, child and family and paediatric nurses, and Aboriginal Health Workers.
