Executive Director - Policy & Professional Services: CRANAplus

As part of the Executive leadership team reporting to the CEO, the Executive Director is responsible for the oversight of CRANAplus’ Policy and Professional Services to lead, influence, and drive initiatives to position and profile CRANAplus for success.CRANAplus is the Peak Professional Body for Health Professionals working in remote and isolated areas across Australia. We exist to ensure the deliv­ery of safe, high qual­i­ty pri­ma­ry health­care to remote and iso­lat­ed areas of Aus­tralia. We are an afford­able, grass­roots, not-for prof­it, mem­ber­ship based organization that has pro­vid­ed nearly 40 years of edu­ca­tion, sup­port and pro­fes­sion­al ser­vices for the mul­ti-dis­ci­pli­nary remote health workforce.

As the voice for remote health in Australia, CRANAplus regularly contribute our stance of health policy and issues affecting isolated, rural and remote nurses and health professionals. We endeavour to voice the remote perspective within a range of forums through our extensive links with Commonwealth and State Governments, political groups, and other professional and workforce organisations. About the Role:

• Working closely with the CEO & Deputy on organisational positioning and responsiveness to emerging issues, and advise on key policy, strategic, or operational matters that arise.
• As a member of the CRANAplus Executive Team, contribute to organisational strategy, positioning, duty of care and enhancement of our organisational practices.
• Leadership of a high performing team to ensure CRANAplus services are professional, agile, responsive, and values aligned.
• Inspire innovation across our workforce development initiatives inclusive of research, workforce development initiatives, pathways, and networks, mentoring & scholarship programs, and continuous professional development initiatives.
• Oversee the performance and optimisation of CRANAplus’ professional services (marketing, communications, membership, branding, and events capabilities).
