The Nursing and Allied Health Scholarship Support Scheme(NAHSSS) replaces the Australian Rural and Remote Allied Health Scholarship Scheme(ARRHPS)The NAHSSS consolidates a number of scholarships under one broad scheme. SARRAH will continue to administer scholarships for practising allied health professionals. The previous ARRHPS scheme has been split into two streams one for formal postgraduate study (e.g Graduate Diploma) and one for Continuing Professional Development (e.g conferences, short courses). Under the new Scheme the Postgraduate Scholarship will be offered once per calendar year and the Continuing Professional Development Scholarship will be offered twice per calender year. Nurses seeking scholarship support should contact the Royal College of Nursing, Australia (RCNA) for information. Guidelines for the both scholarships are now available.
