Clinical Psychology Scholarship (CPS)

On line Applications for the 2013 Scholarship Round are now closed.

This scholarship supports students applying to commence or already undertaking a clinical psychology postgraduate course in Australia that provide the qualification required by the Psychology Board of Australia to become an endorsed clinical psychologist. Only Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited postgraduate courses, offered by coursework are eligible. The APAC website lists all of the accredited courses.

Value
The Scholarship is for a maximum 2 years full-time equivalent course of study at $15,000 per year.
Eligibility
The Scholarship is open to Australian citizens and those with permanent residency status.
To be eligible, applicants must meet at least one of the following:
·         Rural, regional or remote background
·         Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander descent
·         Culturally and linguistically diverse background
·         Demonstrated affiliation to one of the above mentioned criterion.
 
Only applicants that meet at least one of these criteria will be considered. Scholarships will be awarded based on an applicant’s eligibility and degree of strength of evidence for the relevant criteria. The NAHSSS Clinical Psychology Scholarship aims to make a significant impact on the number of Clinical Psychologists working in areas of clinical and geographical need.

The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is responsible for the registration  of health professions across Australia, including psychology. Applicants are advised to visit the AHPRA website to ensure their proposed postgraduate study meets the new standards.
