Clinical Placement Scholarship Scheme

The Board Sponsors are:

The Working Group members are:

• Lee McGovern (Govt Allied Health Advisor),
• Heather Jensen (Academic),
• Catherine Welsh (Physiotherapist),
• Narelle Campbell (Academic),
• Daniel Mahoney (National Rural Health Students Network),
• Dee Whiteford (Academic), and
• Karen Baldwin from the SARRAH Secretariat.

Objective

The objective of the Working Group is to assist in developing, implementing and monitoring the Clinical Placement Scholarship Scheme.

The first round of applications opened in September 2008 for clinical placements undertaken in the 2009 academic year.

The second round of applications opened in March 2009 for clinical placements undertaken in the 2009-2010 financial year.

The third round of applications will open soon for clinical placements undertaken in the 2010-2011 financial year.

Status

This Working Group will continue to meet during 2010.
