Welcome to SARRAH
Services for Australian Rural and Remote Allied Health (SARRAH) is nationally recognised as a peak body representing rural and remote allied health professionals. SARRAH is a 'grassroots' organisation whose membership consists of individual allied health professionals across rural and remote Australia.
SARRAH advocates for rural and remote allied health professionals and allied health practice on local, state and national levels. SARRAH has responded to initiatives including, but not restricted to:
- National Registration and Accreditation system for health professionals;
- Report on the Audit of Health Workforce in Rural and Remote Australia;
- Office of Rural Health - Review of Rural Health Programs & Classification Systems;
- National Health Workforce Taskforce - Clinical Education discussion paper;
- Learning and Teaching for Interprofessional Practice, Australia - A proposal for future research and development;
- National Health Care - Towards a National Primary Health Care Strategy; and
- National Health and Hospitals Reform Commission - Interim Report.
